A police spokesman said at least 13 people have been killed and several others injured after a speeding passenger bus rammed into a van on a motorway in eastern Pakistan.
On Saturday, district police spokesman Mohammad Awais mentioned that the incident took place overnight in the Rahim Yar Khan district of Punjab province.
He pointed out that all the dead and injured were taken to the hospital.
Aweys did not provide further details, saying that officers were still investigating the cause.
Traffic accidents in Pakistan are generally caused by violations of traffic rules, resulting in thousands of deaths or injuries every year.
Last month, a bus crashed into a pole and fell off an embankment, killing 40 passengers in the southern region of Lasbela.
