PAE Volos have denied all rumors suggesting that Amr Warda was attacked by rival fans. The comments came after numerous Greek news reports suggested that Warda claimed that he was attacked by 40 to 50 rival fans ahead of their game against Olympiacos.

The former Egyptian International previously revealed that after their training at the Nea Smyrni stadium a number of Olympiacos and Panionios verbally attacked him and some other players.

He also claimed that they attacked him for his behavior during his time with PAOK.

However, his own club, PAE Volos, denied these claims saying that there was just a confrontation between Panionios and Volos fans.

Amr Warda Struggling in Greece

Since joining Valos, Warda has made four appearances across all competitions, scoring once on his debut and produced one assist.

His next game will be against Ahmed Hassan Kouka’s Olympiacos, but it appears that his fellow countryman won’t be available till 2021 due to COVID-19 complications.

Volos currently sits fifth on the Greek Super League table with 13 points and a win would help them cement this position.
