On Saturday, WWE will host it is first pay-per-view in Scotland in years, Clash at the Castle, as a continuation for the WWE to expand its international PPVs. Being in the homeland of Drew McIntyre, a lot of focus was on the Scottish Warrior, including his selection to main event the show.
McIntyre will face Damian Priest, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, for the title. McIntyre won the title in WrestleMania after defeating Seth Rollins, but, Priest attacked McIntyre after the match, calling for cashing in his Money in the Bank contract. An immediate match between McIntyre and Priest for the title took place, and it ended with the victory of Priest.
Priest's faction, The Judgement Day, member are banned from the ring side.
Alongside McIntyre, three Scottish WWE superstars will participate in the event: Piper Niven will face Bayley for the WWE Women's title, while, Alba Fyre, and Isla Dawn will take part in a tag team triple threat match for the WWE Women's Tag Team title against the Champions Bianca Blair & Jade Cargill, and Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark.
Sami Zayn will defend his Intercontinental title against Chad Gable who is chasing the title since the final quarter of 2023.
Finally, Cody Rhodes will defend his Undisputed WWE title against AJ Styles who is presenting one of his best WWE runs in an I Quit match.
