The Afghan Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations reported that over a thousand Afghan migrants have returned to the country after being deported from Pakistan.
In a newsletter issued on Saturday, the ministry stated that 1,243 Afghan migrants returned to Afghanistan following their forced deportation, according to the Afghan news agency "Khaama Press".
The ministry's statement further indicated that the migrants returned to the country on April 25th and 26th through the Torkham border crossing in Nangarhar province and Spin Boldak in Kandahar province.
Moreover, the ministry mentioned that the migrants were referred to the offices of the International Organization for Migration, the World Food Programme, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees for assistance, as reported by the German news agency.
