Paramount Pictures unveiled Wednesday the first trailer and poster of "Orphan: First Kill", the sequel to 2009's bizarre horror hit "Orphan".
The movie serves as a prequel to the original movie and features Isabelle Fuhrman reprising her oddly iconic break-out role as Esther, the murderous woman disguised as a child.
The 2009 horror movie followed a grieving family adopting a nine-year-old girl called Esther. However, they soon make a troubling discovery about her true identity being a fully grown and dangerous woman named Leena who is suffering from hypopituitarism, a condition that gives her the appearance of a child.
The story of the upcoming prequel sees Leena escape from an Estonian psychiatric facility and travel to America, where she takes the name of Esther, impersonating the missing child of Tricia Albright (Julia Stiles) and Allen Albright (Rossif Sutherland).
However, an unexpected twist arises that pits her against a mother who will protect her family from the bloodthirsty "child" at any cost.
The trailer opens with Esther (Fuhrman) reuniting with her family, including an overjoyed Tricia (Stiles) who is thrilled to welcome her daughter back into their home.
However, things quickly descend into chaos as it becomes apparent that Esther isn't who she is pretending to be, the sweet little girl who went missing four years ago, but this is someone with a thirst for killing who will stop at nothing to achieve her goals.
