Orascom Pyramids Signs Contract for Upgrading Pyramids' Light Show

Orascom Pyramids corporation has set a contract with Orascom Construction that estimated by EGP 170 million to upgrade the light show system at the Pyramids, local media agencies reported on Wednesday.

The corporation will provide the site with more advanced equipment for improving the quality of the tourist light show in Giza, in addition to upgrading the quality of all establishments in the site.

Previously, Orascom announced that it would invest EGP 200 million in such a project which it is expected to cost EGP 350 million by its final stages.

This project is part of the corporation's mega plan for developing the surrounded area of the Pyramids site.

It is worthy to mention that Pyramids area is witnessing mega developing projects aiming to upgrade the quality of provided touristic services such as electric cars area, five-star hotels, cafes, gift shops, among other permitted touristic services in the past few months.

This comes in the context of the forthcoming official opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) and the establishment of Sphinx airport to encourage tourists to have one-day trips to pyramids.
