On Tuesday, Tunisian Tennis star Ons Jabeur started her road in Wimbledon 2023 tournament.
She strongly defeated No. 6 Magdalena Frech 6-3-6-3 on Court 1.
The 2022 finalist moved to the second round safely, waiting for her next opponent.
Last year, the Tunisian Tennis star defeated Tatjana Maria in the Wimbledon semi-finals, becoming the first African woman to reach a Grand Slam singles final.
Jabeur celebrated her victory on Twitter and sent a special message to Maria; "You were amazing. An inspiration for all women athletes out there!"
"I'm a proud Tunisian woman standing here," said Jabeur. "It's a dream come true from years of work and sacrifice. I'm happy that's paid off and I'll continue for one more match."
"I know in Tunisia they are going crazy right now. I want to see more Arab and African players on the tour. I love the game and I want to share the experience with them."
