1/3 of Egypt’s Investments Went to National Projects: Egypt’s PM

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said that approximately one-third of Egypt’s investments went to various national projects during the past few years, according to a statement released on Sunday.

Madbouly noted that the 2014 electricity mega projects came on top of these national projects that proved the ability of the Egyptians to achieve great economic progress in a definite time.

In the same connection, the PM indicated that Egypt has achieved self-sufficiency in natural gas consumption nowadays due to the gradual increase in local production, pointing out that the country no longer imports liquefied natural gas, saving foreign currency at this crucial time.

He also reviewed the state’s efforts in enhancing the water and sanitation services and infrastructures, besides other significant investments that were directed to the communication sectors, especially the internet service.

It’s worth mentioning that Madbouly made these remarks during a press conference.
