The fifth session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ministers of Water Conference kicked off in Jeddah, chaired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the theme “From Vision to Impact.”
The three-day conference brings together ministers, officials, and water experts from OIC member states to discuss strategies for sustainable water management, innovation, and cooperation in addressing water scarcity challenges across the Islamic world.
According to the OIC, the event aims to translate previous policy visions into actionable initiatives that support the organization’s strategic goals on water security, climate resilience, and sustainable development.
The conference underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to advancing global dialogue and partnerships in the water sector, reflecting its leadership role in promoting sustainable resource management within the Islamic community.
