The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned in the strongest terms the continued systematic genocide committed by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip and the ongoing aggression against cities, villages, and camps in the West Bank, including Al-Quds.
These attacks have resulted in the martyrdom of 92 people and the injury of 219 others over the past 48 hours, bringing the death toll from the Israeli aggression to 51,955 martyrs and 123,034 injured since October 7, 2023.
The OIC affirmed that the continuation of these crimes is a stain on humanity and a flagrant violation of all international conventions, laws, resolutions, and humanitarian values. It called for an end to the aggression and for holding the Israeli occupation accountable for its crimes.
The organization reiterated its warning against the escalating incursions into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist settler groups under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces.
It affirmed that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is a place of worship exclusively for Muslims and that occupied Al-Quds is the capital of the State of Palestine.
The OIC stressed the need to preserve the legal and historical status of the holy sites, particularly the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The organization also renewed its call on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities by compelling Israel, the occupying power, to cease all its crimes completely, and ensure the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
