OIC, AIDA Signs Memorandum of Understanding to Promote Bilateral Cooperation

Ambassador Tarig Ali Bakheet, Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian, Social and Cultural Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and His Excellency Mr. Elmaddin Mehdiyev, Director of the Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on development projects and humanitarian assistance in OIC Member States, at the OIC General Secretariat’s Headquarters.

This MoU marks a further step in the strengthening of the already fruitful and active bilateral cooperation between the OIC and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It will govern the conduct of important joint programs ranging from humanitarian assistance activities for OIC needy countries to capacity-building sessions, among others.

On the margin of the signing, the Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs of the OIC and the Director of AIDA discussed a wide range of issues of common interest and exchanged views on the best ways and means to ensure a smooth and diligent implementation of the MoU.
