Odyssey Group Integrates BICC into Its School Network

The Odyssey French International Education Group announced, on Sunday, the integration of the British International College of Cairo (BICC) into its school network.

Luc Chatel, President of Odyssey and ex-French Minister of Education, and Ahmed Samir Zakaria, Egyptian Senator, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the British International College of Cairo, signed the agreements of incorporation into the group Odyssey at the French Embassy in Egypt, in presence of French Ambassador to Egypt Marc Barety.

"We are very proud to welcome the British International College of Cairo to our group. In a strategic area of international education, BICC's faculty and staff have a high-quality educational project based on educational excellence and international orientation," Chatel affirmed.

He also asserted that by joining the strengths of Odyssey and BICC, they will be able to offer families an education that combines the best of the two worlds: Anglo-Saxon education and French education.

Undoubtedly, this operation highlights Odyssey's commitment to expand in Egypt, where the demand for international education is particularly strong.

It is also part of the privileged cultural relations between France and Egypt, which are based on a strong partnership in the fields of cultural cooperation, educational exchanges, and the promotion of the French language.

Odyssey, (www.odyssey.education), will develop its educational strategy in Egypt, offering a combination of French excellence, international openness and multilingualism that perfectly matches the expectations of Egyptian families wishing to provide their children with an internationally recognized education.

Based on the BICC campus and facilities in New Cairo, the group plans to open a new French school in September 2022 that will offer the Group's pedagogical strengths: French curriculum, international trilingual education (French, English, Arabic) and pedagogical innovation.

The BICC, (www.bicc.edu.eg), is located in a new and modern campus in New Cairo and welcomes over 400 Students from Nursery to Upper School. The school has several international accreditations attesting to its educational quality (Cambridge, COBIS).

By joining the group, the BICC is taking a strategic direction that will enable it to have the support of an international group and the pedagogical dynamics of its international school network, with 16 schools around the world (Europe, Asia, and Africa).
