The General Authority of Red Sea Ports announced the closure of the Nuweiba Sea Port in South Sinai Governorate, at 4:00 pm, due to bad weather conditions, as wind intensity ranges between 25-30 south knots, and wave heights between 2.5-3 meters while the sea state is very turbulent.

Maritime navigation and all maritime activities have also been suspended for small and large naval units, in order to preserve the safety of maritime navigation.

Major General Engineer Mohamed Abdel Rahim, Chairman of the Red Sea Ports Authority, issued strict instructions to port managers to take the necessary precautionary measures to ensure the safety of navigational marks at the entrances and exits of ports, follow up with the General Authority of Meteorology on the climate map for the safety of maritime navigation, and activate port operations rooms to confront potential risks to preserve the safety of lives and private and public property.
