Egypt has reopened Nuweiba Port in South Sinai and resumed maritime traffic after weather conditions improved and wind speeds stabilized.
The Red Sea Ports Authority confirmed that the port reopened at 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, allowing all maritime activities and navigation to return to normal following a temporary suspension due to adverse weather.
Officials emphasized the importance of continuous monitoring of weather conditions to ensure safe navigation. Port authorities have been instructed to follow updates issued by the Egyptian Meteorological Authority to maintain the safety of vessels, passengers, and infrastructure.
The reopening restores a key maritime link for passenger and cargo movement across the Red Sea, particularly between Egypt and neighboring countries, after precautionary measures were taken during the period of unstable weather.
