The victory of Gohar ended El Sherbiny's domination over the world championship as she held and retained the title for five times from 2019 to 2023.
Gohar defeated El Sherbiny in a match that attracted the eyes of the crowds and officials 3-1.
On the other hand, Mostafa Asal lost the final to Peruvian star Diego Elias 3-2 in a 82-minute battle.
This edition witnessed the crowning of new champions for both men, and women.
The championship competitions took place in Cairo, and the main draw was hosted at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.
