On Friday, Nouran Gohar retained her El Gouna International Squash Tournament after defeating Amina Orfi in an all-Egyptian women’s final.
World No. 1 seed Gohar continued her impressive performance this year to defeat the promising star Orfi, who is ranked fifth in the world, 3-1. The game lasted for 52 minutes.
With this victory, Gohar secured her third consecutive El Gouna title.
During the tournament, Orfi made one of the biggest surprises in the tournament by eliminating the iconic Nour El Sherbiny in the quarter-finals.
In the same context, Mostafa Asal defeated Ali Farag 3-2 in the men's final to claim the title of the tournament.
With these victories, it is expected that both Gohar, and Asal to remain on the top of the PSA international rankings.
