On Tuesday, world's no.4 Nour El Tayeb announced retiring from professional squash. She posted her decision on Instagram.

El Tayeb explained that the past three years were joyful as much as they were challenging and exhausting.

She added that it is so hard to be on the top while trying to make all her commitments as a mother, asserting that the last three years were hard to keep herself a strong opponent and competitor.

El Tayeb concluded that she is happy to end her squash chapter while holding a good international ranking, thinking that this retirement is a final decision.

The 31-year-old squash star retired before in 2021 after having her first child, but returned in 2022 and captured Zed title.

During her 20-year career, El Tayeb captured 16 titles, and her best international ranking was No.3.

PSA wished El Tayeb the best of luck in her next chapter.
