Nottingham Forest delivered a commanding performance to defeat Chelsea 3–1 at Stamford Bridge in Matchweek 35 of the Premier League.
The visitors made an explosive start, with Taiwo Awoniyi opening the scoring in just the second minute. Igor Jesus doubled the lead from the penalty spot in the 15th minute, putting Forest firmly in control early on.
Chelsea had a chance to respond before halftime, but Cole Palmer missed a penalty in stoppage time, leaving the hosts trailing 2–0 at the break.
Forest extended their advantage shortly after the restart, with Awoniyi netting his second goal of the match in the 52nd minute. Chelsea managed a late consolation through João Pedro in the 93rd minute, but it did little to change the outcome.
The result leaves Chelsea in ninth place with 49 points, while Nottingham Forest climb to 16th with 42 points.
Despite the setback, Chelsea will now shift focus to the FA Cup final, where they are set to face Manchester City at Wembley Stadium on May 16.
