English Premier League Nottingham Forest announced on Saturday that Portuguese manager Nuno Espírito Santo has signed a new contract with the club, extending his stay until 2028.

In an official statement, the club said, “Nottingham Forest are delighted to announce that Nuno Espírito Santo has signed a new three-year deal with the club. The head coach was rewarded with the extension by owner Evangelos Marinakis ahead of the 2025/26 season.”

The statement added, “Nuno was the mastermind behind Forest’s remarkable 2024/25 campaign, leading the club to their highest league finish in 30 years and securing qualification for European competition for the first time since the 1995/96 season.”

It continued: “Last season, Nuno also guided Forest to historic away wins over Liverpool and Manchester United—their first victories at Anfield and Old Trafford in 55 and 30 years, respectively—and oversaw the club’s longest Premier League winning streak since 1967.”

After signing the deal, Nuno said, “I’m delighted to continue our journey with this fantastic club.”

He added, “Since arriving at Forest, we’ve worked hard to build a strong bond between the players, the fans, and everyone involved with the club, which helped us achieve great things last season.”
