Norway's Defense Ministry said his country and Denmark will jointly provide more than 9,000 additional artillery rounds to Kyiv amid a shortage of ammunition in Ukraine.
"Norway and Denmark have agreed to transfer 9,000 artillery shells to Ukraine," the ministry said in a press release on its website.
The ministry stated that Norway will transfer the missiles itself to Ukraine, and Denmark will transfer the fuses and pay for them.
According to Norwegian Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram Ukraine is in dire need of such missiles.
In April, Norway and Denmark delivered 8,000 155mm artillery rounds to Ukraine.
The unlimited military support provided by Western countries to Ukraine since the launch of the Russian special military operation last year has depleted its stock of ammunition and weapons.
Russia has previously sent a note of protest to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) because of the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov mentioned that any shipment containing weapons to Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russia.
