North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has issued a warning, stating that Pyongyang will not hesitate to launch a nuclear attack if provoked by an enemy wielding nuclear weapons, according to the North Korean Central News Agency.
Kim made these remarks during a meeting with soldiers from the army's missile unit regarding the latest ballistic missile launch exercises.
Kim emphasized, "The resolute military activity carried out by the unit this time served as a clear explanation of our offensive response style, the development of our nuclear strategy, and the creed of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, which does not hesitate even in carrying out a nuclear attack if provoked by the enemy with nuclear weapons."
This statement comes following North Korea's recent test of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) on Monday, aimed at assessing the nation's readiness in the face of growing U.S. hostility.
The test has drawn condemnation from the United States and its allies.
The situation on the Korean Peninsula remains a matter of concern for the international community.
The North Korean regime's nuclear ambitions continue to be a source of tension, and diplomatic efforts to address the issue are ongoing.
