On Wednesday, the Chinese state media announced that no survivors were found from the latest Chinese plane crash.

Media reports added that scattered belongings, pieces of the smashed plane's body, and identity cards were found in a nearby forested area, and other parts were found on some trees.

The search for the black boxes of the plane is still ongoing, and the process of the search will be difficult.

Rescuers in China explored thickly forested slopes on Tuesday, with the chances of finding survivors from the 132 people on board a China Eastern Airlines plane that crashed a day earlier in the mountains of southern Guangxi dimming.

China Eastern Airlines Boeing 737-800, carrying 132 passengers, crashed in the Guangxi region, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) announced on Monday.

The plane was flying from Kunming to Guangzhou, according to media reports that added rescue workers had found no sign of survivors.

On his part, Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday said that he was "shocked" by the plane crash, expressing his regret over the incident, and ordered an immediate investigation.
