Top Japanese pro wrestling promotion, New Japan Pro Wrestling, will present its biggest annual event, Wrestle Kingdom, tomorrow, Wednesday.
This year, NJPW will get back the traditional schedule of the event and make it once again a one-day event, unlike last year's edition which was a three-day one, including a day for joint competitions with NOAH.
In addition, Wrestle Kingdom 17 will be a two-main-event edition by scheduling a match for the IWGP World Heavy Weight, and IWGP US Heavyweight title.
For the first time in the history of Wrestle Kingdom, there will be a match for the IWGP Women's title.
It will also include the coronation of the first-ever NJPW World Television champion, the participation of a superstar under a WWE contract for the first time, and the return of AEW superstar Kenny Omega to Japan.
Omega didn't participate in the AEW X NJPW joint event, The Forbidden Door, last June due to an injury.
