House of Torture Leader Evil qualified for the semi-final after capturing 12 points, while Tsuji kept his hopes alive in the tournament by qualifying as the block's third.
Bullet Club WarDogs Leader David Finlay presented one of the best thrillers in the tournament by turning his story from elimination to qualification.
The day also witnessed the final G1 Climax block match for NJPW legend Tanahashi, who participated in 23 G1 Climax, won the tournament 3 times, and had 101 G1 Climax single match victories.
So the final standings of Group A are: Evil (12), David Finlay (10), Yota Tsuji (10), Boltin Oleg (10), Yuya Uemura (10), Callum Newman (8), Ryohei Oiwa (8), Sanada (8), Hiroshi Tanahashi (8), and Taichi (6).
