The NJPW legend faced the promising Konosuke Takeshita as he is on a retirement tour, with his final career bout set for next year’s Wrestle Kingdom in the Tokyo Dome.
The show also was co-main event by an IWGP World Heavyweight title match between the Champion Hirooki Goto and Shota Umino, which ended with Goto retaining his title.
Moreover, Gabe Kidd put his NJPW Strong Championship against Tomohiro Ishii in a 30-minute Iron Man match which saw the crowning of a new champion.
The #1 contender match between AZM and Mina Shirakawa for the NJPW Strong Women's title ended in a double countout, so the Champion Mercedes Mone will defend her title in a 3-way match.
