Demands for Nile cruises grow as Germans flock to Egypt in strong numbers this year, tour operators told tourism portal FVW.

"Egypt is consolidating last year’s strong comeback on the German market thanks to a mix of attractive prices for high-quality hotels and better consumer confidence in the destination."

Up to 1.23 million German visitors visited Egypt last year, with an increase of 88%, following a heavy slump in 2016.

Booking to the country continues to rise this year, as the major tour operators, including FTI, TUI, Thomas Cook and Egypt specialist ETI, are reporting high double-digit growth rates for Red Sea beach holidays in destinations, including Hurghada, Marsa Alam and Sharm El-Sheikh.

New offers had been added to win more customers back to the Nile. They come as a response to the increase in demands for Nile cruises, according to several tour operators and cruise firms.
