Nigerian President Sends Message to President Sisi

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Wednesday a message from his Nigerian counterpart Muhammadu Buhari, tackling boosting the bilateral ties, especially trade and economic ones.

This came during Sisi’s meeting with the Nigerian President’s special envoy ambassador Joseph Keshi, in the presence of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.

The message also touched on fighting terrorism-related issues, enhancing political consultation between Cairo and Abuja, sharing expertise on tackling coronavirus pandemic as well as the resumption of holding the meetings of the two countries’ joint committee.

The message also tackled Egypt’s support of Nigeria in the development process, especially in the infrastructure projects such as building roads and energy generation.

Sisi asked Keshi to convey his greetings to Buhari and praised the historic ties binding both Egypt and Nigeria.
