On Tuesday, Apple TV+ greenlit the female-led anthology TV series "Roar", starring Nicole Kidman.

The series also stars Cynthia Erivo, Merritt Wever and Alison Brie. It arrives from "GLOW" creators Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, who have signed an overall deal with the streamer.

"Roar", which has been in the works since 2018, is based on Cecelia Ahern’s book of short stories.

The series will consist of eight, half-hour episodes, each told from a uniquely female point of view and covering a wide variety of genres.

Flahive and Mensch will executive produce alongside Kidman and Per Saari via Blossom Films. It will also be produced by Endeavor Content, Bruna Papandrea, Steve Hutensky and Allie Goss via Made Up Stories, Ahern via her company Greenlight Go and Theresa Park via her Per Capita Productions.

Kidman, Saari and Papandrea, who previously teamed on HBO’s "Big Little Lies," most recently partnered to produce HBO’s "The Undoing".
