Neymar remains a major doubt for Brazil’s upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 clash against
Haiti after failing to fully recover from a calf injury, according to Brazilian media reports.
The Santos forward has yet to make his tournament debut, having already missed Brazil’s pre-World Cup friendly against Egypt and the opening group-stage draw with Morocco.
Brazilian outlet Globo reported that Neymar underwent fresh medical examinations on Monday, but the results have not yet been disclosed. T
he 34-year-old also missed the team’s latest training session, raising further concerns about his availability for Saturday’s Group C encounter against Haiti.
Neymar returned to Brazil’s World Cup squad after an absence that stretched back to October 2023, but fitness issues have continued to delay his comeback.
Brazil will face Haiti in their second group-stage match before concluding their campaign against Scotland next Thursday, with the Selecao hoping their star playmaker can recover in time to feature in the tournament.
