Newgiza University (NGU) is a multidisciplinary private university in Cairo, Egypt. Located on the legendary Giza Plateau, mere minutes from the Great Pyramids, NGU delivers a world-class university education to students locally, regionally, and internationally.

NGU Faculties

NGU has 6 faculties: Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Business & Finance, Economics & Politics and Information Technology.

Worth noting that the science faculties are almost run according to English criteria, through collaborating with British institutions as mentioned before.

In addition, there’s the faculty of Economics and Politics, which is run according to international criteria, and upon which the King's College London supports NGU, in terms of staff coordination, as well as the fields of strategic planning and management.

The School of Economics and Politics

The School of Economics and Politics in Newgiza University seeks excellence in higher education, preparing a flexible, efficient, competitive, diplomatic graduate, engaged in scientific research and adopting a life-long learning approach, tackling both economic and political problems on the domestic and regional level. Graduates would be empowered to actively engage in developmental issues paving the path for future progress and growth of Egypt and the region.

The School of Information Technology

The School of Information Technology is due to open its doors for the first time this upcoming academic year 2020. It offers a program that was designed with the aim of providing students with an education that sets them apart.  To do so, the program offers a strong curriculum that covers the foundations, while bringing students awareness of cutting edge technologies in their selected specialization tracks.

The school also emphasizes the practical aspect of the field and provides students with various means to practice what they have learned both inside and outside the classroom. The skills that the school cultivates, ensures that students will be able keep up with advances in the IT domain and to maneuver its rapidly changing landscape. Furthermore, a strong business component means that graduates from this school can start their own businesses upon graduating as well as play effective roles in existing organizations.

The duration of this program is 4 years. Modules in the first and second years cover the foundation needed by all IT students irrespective of their chosen specialization.  Modules in the third and fourth year of study are predominantly focused on the track or specialization a student wishes to pursue.  Students will be allowed to specialize in one of the following three tracks: Artificial Intelligence and Data Science - Computer Science - Biomedical Informatics.

A balance between the theoretical aspects of the program and the practical ones will be achieved through lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions.

To apply, students can visit the website of the Newgiza university (ngu.edu.eg) and complete the online application and pay the application fees through a cash bank deposit or transfer at NGU bank account, and then send the supporting documents, academic and non academic, along with the English Test Scores. Students can send scanned copies and all originals will be requested upon provisional acceptance.

Upon completion of sending the required documents, students will be invited for a personal interview, where the accepted candidates will be informed shortly and advised on the next steps, deadlines for acceptance, and tuition and fees payment process.

The NGU applies ‘Eligibility Exams’, which, despite being new, ensures a qualified student environment, and indicates a successful education process.

These exams are pre-conditions for acceptance, and they are not typical, but they are the first step in applying the modern educational system.

Newgiza scholarships

The NGU provides a number of partial scholarships every year at the faculty of Pharmacy. The program is designed to provide partial scholarship opportunities for outstanding high school graduates who are excited and passionate about the learning experience in the field of “Clinical Pharmacy”. Moreover, empowering these calibers to excel academically and develop their interpersonal skills to be able to compete in a complex world.

Squash Championship.

Moreover, Newgiza University is proud to be selected for hosting the 2022 World University Squash Championship. The official announcement took place in a press conference held by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Dr. Sobhi Ashraf, Minister of Youth and Sports, and the presence of Dr. A. Sameh Farid, NGU President.

Newgiza University has 7 giant play fields that will host the championship.

Students will have to present academic transcripts along and the English score along with these documents to apply for the next academic year:

Original certificate.

Recommendation letter (Chemistry or Biology teacher for the medical schools)/

(Math or English teacher for the school of Business & Finance).

Birth certificate.

Statement of purpose.

Personal photos.

Medical report.

Military form 2 & 6 (males only).
