Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique has moved to calm concerns over Ousmane Dembélé’s fitness after the forward was forced off early during the derby against Paris FC.

The Ballon d’Or winner, 29, was substituted inside the opening half-hour after appearing to pick up a thigh issue. He immediately left the pitch and headed down the tunnel, sparking fears he could be facing a spell on the sidelines just weeks before PSG’s Champions League final clash with Arsenal in Budapest.

The timing of the incident has raised anxiety around the Paris club, with Dembélé expected to play a key role in their pursuit of European glory. Arsenal, who are also monitoring developments closely amid their own domestic and European ambitions, will be watching any updates with interest.

However, Luis Enrique suggested the problem may not be as serious as initially feared, indicating it could simply be fatigue rather than a significant injury.

“I have nothing to say about Ousmane, we’ll have to wait until tomorrow,” he said. “I think it’s just fatigue. What we can talk about today is just speculation. But I don’t think it’s very serious, we’ll know more tomorrow.”

PSG are expected to conduct further medical assessments before confirming whether Dembélé will be available for the final.
