Netflix has unveiled the first look at the much-awaited second season of League of Legends series “Arcane” that's slated to arrive this November.

The animated show, created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee and based on the Riot Games sensation, was renewed by Netflix in November 2021.

Hailee Steinfeld and Ella Purnell will reprise their roles as sisters Vi and Jinx, who are caught on opposing sides of a conflict in the utopian city of Piltover and its poor underbelly, Zaun. Katie Leung is also set to return as Caitlyn Kiramman.

Season 1 of the video game adaptation was met with critical acclaim, and “Arcane” became the first streaming series to win the Emmy Award for an animated program.

The show also won nine Annie Awards, including Best General Audience Animated Television Broadcast Production. At the time of its premiere, “Arcane” was Netflix’s highest-rated series, as it topped the streamer’s chart in 52 countries.

“Arcane” Season 1 was directed by Pascal Charrue and Arnaud Delord, and Imagine Dragons and JID performed the opening theme music. Alexander Temple and Alex Seaver serve as composers.

The second season of “Arcane” will be executed produced by Linke, alongside Marc Merrill, Brandon Beck, Jane Chung, and Thomas Vu.

Since its 2021 debut, “Arcane” has been joined with other video game adaptations on TV, including Paramount+’s “Halo,” Peacock’s “Twisted Metal” and HBO’s “The Last of Us,” starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as the apocalyptic story’s unlikely duo, Joel and Ellie.
