On Saturday, the Nepalese Embassy in Cairo organized a celebration entitled "Spring Fest Nepal 2023." It was attended by a number of ambassadors, including the Ambassadors of South Korea, Cyprus, Mauritius, Ghana, Sri Lanka, the Vatican, Bangladesh, and the UN Representative of the Peacekeeping Forces in Egypt, Omar Samra- The first Egyptian to climb the Everest Mountains - and Sherif El-Abed - a mountain climber.

Nepal's ambassador to Cairo, Sushil Kumar, said that this festival is a celebration of the arrival of spring, a symbol of renaissance and renewal, as it is a harbinger of hope and a source of beauty and money.

He added, the spring season loves birds that begin to sing soothing songs after being moody in the long winter period.

For poets and artists, spring is a metaphor for the exuberance and grandeur of one's own life, and it is also a favorite of Everest climbers.

The ambassador continued: "In today's event, we will also feel the country where the Everest mountains are located, its people, its dance, its music, the tradition of yoga and natural healing, and its literature."

"I sincerely hope you enjoy experiencing all these aspects of the culture that thrive in Nepal, the Himalayan country."

Omar Samra and Sherif El-Abed talked about their collective experiences during the climbing trip in the Everest mountains, and a yoga show and some dances were presented.

The attendees, reveled in colors to celebrate Fagu Purnima or Holi - the festival of colors which was celebrated in Nepal a few days ago.
