Over this easy I will lead the reader to a unique book named” Nectar of the Age- a concise autobiography, Vol,1 ” authored by the scholar and master of generations Sir (Sidi) Abbas Jirari. This volume handles the early years of the author and his scientific project.

The book marks the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Jirari Club ( 1930-2020). As I wrote previously, Jirari is one of the elite who has the Arab's modesty and their glamour is the real sun of the Arabs.

He is one of those who understand the reality of Islam as well as the real structure of civilization. His writings reflect the beauty and he is one of the protectors of Arabic, one of its servants and sponsors.

He is also a prince of mind, tolerance, peace, and structure of the whole human family and the societal joint house. Jirari is one of the knights who accept the “other” and he is a very humble person.

“I have faithful fraternity, the relationship of true patriotism, the origin of gallantry that indicates means of science, cultural belonging, and familial education,” he said.

Jirari is an encyclopedic scholar. His writings persify from literature critic, travels, autobiography, poetry, and biographies, history of thought and literature, and issues of Islamic thought.

Jirari was born on 15 February 1937 in Rabat, the capital city of Morocco to a scientific family.

His father professor Abdullah Jirari is one of the leading pioneers of the Moroccan cultural movement and one of its senior scholars.

Since my boyhood, I have heard my father Prof. Dr.  Idris Azzouzi, may Allah prolong his age, spoke about Jirari, his knowledge, and his blessed pedigree. Then my relationship with my master Jirari resembles ties between the son to his godfather.

He filled many posts since he joined the diplomatic staff of Morocco’s Embassy in Cairo in 1962. He joined the professorate of King Mohamed VI in Fez then in Rabat in 1966. He is a member of the Royal Morocco Academy and the scientific regional council of Rabat State since 1983.

The late King Hassan II appointed Abbas  Jirari in the royal court in January 1999. He was promoted by King Mohamed VI to become a royal councilor on 29 March 2000.

Besides dozens of senior posts, Jirari has the membership of a number of academies, federations, regional, Arab and international councilor bodies, such as Deputy-Chairman of USA-Morocco Relationships, Head of the Committee of Marking out the Moroccan Culture Locally and Abroad, members of Arabic Language Academies in Cairo and Damascus and specialized expert at a number of an international organization.

Over his new book, the reader will know how “Sidi” Abbas scored his targets and the hardships that faced him. He adopted a verse of poetry that says: You want to catch sublime aims. But they are surrounded by hardships.

If I can optimize his success during his productive life, according to my acquaintance with his brothers and in the light of reading his book thoroughly, I can epitomize this book in three points: the goodwill of Allah, patience, and his bringing up in a house of religion, science and patriotism.

In this direction, he said over the preface of his interesting book,  that he wants, as of the beginning, to indicate to his bringing up in a house religion, science and patriotism has a great effect on my life.

“My father, mercy of Allah may be upon him, is an example and ideal,” he said. “This is added to my health condition that makes me ignore all that contradicts with its safety or mislead me away from following the example” he revealed.

This also makes me live a quasi-mystical life that resembles an idle mind that never affected the outer appearance except for the scientific interests. Knowledge needs efforts that lead to adopting political stances which may appear contradictory with the scientific and cultural targets. I see that monasticism enables him to realize that target is one of my keys to conscience in addition to patience to endure hardships.

He indicated that his  late father did his  best to alleviate  those hardships as  Al-Mutanabbi ( a great poet ((915AD  -   965AD    )  did with a praised master who was continuous traveling:

Oh, every day  you move to a new place

To a place where glory abides

If souls are major

Bodies must be exhausted more

Over 300 pages the reader will find a pure sincere honest autobiography without faking, distortion or extravagance.  He did his best to adhere to that and never disregarded it.

Then,  he justified his successive successes in faith and its inevitability as the result of faith clearing situations and perishing of cares and chagrins according to what is mentioned in Hadith (Sayings of Prophet Mohamed peace and prayer of Allah may be upon him).

Faith grants the faithful soul rest because he expects to happen what is fated will be happened if Allah wills.

Al last, I see it is the duty to praise the wife of Dr. Abbas Jirari Mrs. Hamidah El- Sayehg, his confident secretary who attends him clockwise and that attendance features well-bred women of Fez and Meknes cities.

If a man has  no well-bred woman to keep his house

His interests may be lost even in the house.
