NBE Cooperates with Kashier, Misr Insurance to Boost E-payments

The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) signed on Wednesday a cooperation protocol with Kashier and Misr Insurance Company to boost e-payments and financial inclusion.

The protocol aims at take advantage of the Kashier platform to allow e-payments for all Misr Insurance transactions.

Yehia Abou El-Fotouh, NBE Vice Chairman stated that the protocol aims to expand the bank’s system and strategy for digital transformation, which is one of the most important priorities to keep pace with the global technological revolution and support the state’s plans in serving financial inclusion.

Abou El-Fotouh stressed that all electronic services provided by the bank guarantee to customers the highest standards of security, as the bank places the confidentiality of data and accounts, including insurance documents, as a top priority in its operating system.

He added that this strategy also works to reduce congestion within the company's headquarters to obtain services, especially in the current circumstances that require maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.

On his part, Karim Soos, CEO of Retail Banking at NBE said that e-payment services will be provided through a quick response code (QR code) and payment of all types of bank cards through the electronic payment gateway on the Misr Insurance Company website, so that the company's customers can perform payments in the easiest and fastest possible way.

Momen Mukhtar, Chairman and Managing Director at Misr Insurance explained that in light of the company's keenness to comply with the directions of the state toward digital transformation and expansion in cashless transactions, the company has provided its customers with the ability to pay various insurance policies through its official website.

Khaled Raslan, Managing Director of Kashier expressed his pride in cooperating with NBE, and Misr Insurance, the oldest insurance company in the country, stressing the pioneering role of Kashier in facilitating the process of accepting e-payments through its own platform, in line with the country's directions to achieve financial inclusion.
