Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, inaugurated the NBA Africa office in Egypt in light of the state's keenness to host the headquarters of international sports bodies.
The opening was attended by Victor Williams, CEO of NBA Africa, Mohamed Abdel Muttalib Soliman, Vice President and Director of NBA Egypt, Jean Manio-Blange, Director of Planning and Operations of the African Basketball League BAL, Dr. Magdy Abu Freikha, President of the Egyptian Basketball Association and Robert Hory, seven-time NBA champion.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhy said that the presence of the NBA Africa office in Egypt will represent a great shift for Egyptian basketball, and will clearly contribute to achieving the greatest benefit for players, coaches, clubs and national teams
