NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said today, Friday, that Finland will officially join the alliance in the coming days.
"All 30 NATO allies have now ratified the accession protocol. Finland will bring a lot to our alliance," Stoltenberg added - in a video clip on Twitter, reported by CNN.
Stoltenberg also expressed optimism about Sweden's chances of joining NATO, saying, "All allies agree that a swift completion of the ratification process for Sweden's accession would be in everyone's interest, and I look forward to welcoming Sweden as a full member of NATO as soon as possible."
