On Sunday evening, the Secretary-General of the Lebanese "Hezbollah", Hassan Nasrallah, accused Saudi Arabia of planning to assassinate him for a long time.

This came in an interview with Nasrallah conducted by Al-Mayadeen TV, which is close to Hezbollah.

Nasrallah said: "Saudi Arabia has instigated assassinations since the war on Yemen."

Nasrallah added, "The Americans agreed to a Saudi request to assassinate me, that Israel implement it."

The Secretary considered that "Targeting Hezbollah leaders is a common American, Israeli, Saudi goal."

He also stated that "US President Donald Trump could launch a military attack during the remaining days of his term."

"Trump is currently an angry maniac and we must deal with the remaining days of his term with caution and attention."

Moreover, he added, "There is no accurate information that Trump or the enemy Israeli will take any action, but it is only assumptions."

He stressed that "The axis of resistance is being handled with caution, accuracy and attention, in order not to lure any of the sites of this axis into any confrontation with the enemies."

He concluded that, "When you hear the Israelis issue million statements, know that there are no real actions behind this," referring to recent threats by Israeli officials to "Hezbollah" of the possibility of carrying out military action against it.
