Napoli will look to sustain their push at the top of Serie A when they travel to face Genoa on Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m. local time, in Matchday 24 of the Italian league.

Despite a recent victory over Fiorentina, the defending champions remain behind league leaders Inter Milan and second-placed AC Milan.

Genoa, meanwhile, have enjoyed an upturn in form in recent weeks, moving closer to safety after a run of positive domestic results.

Napoli are aiming to regain consistency following a difficult spell that saw them suffer back-to-back defeats, including a heavy 3–0 loss to Juventus and a setback against Chelsea that ended their unbeaten run in the UEFA Champions League.

Those results raised questions about the team’s momentum as the season enters a decisive phase.

However, the Naples side responded with a strong performance against Fiorentina, securing a 2–1 win thanks to goals from Antonio Vergara and Miguel Gutiérrez.

That victory kept Napoli in third place and left them just one point behind AC Milan, with another win potentially lifting them closer to second spot.

Away form remains a concern for Napoli, who have lost half of their 16 away matches across all competitions this season.

Even so, their historical record against Genoa offers encouragement, having lost only once in their last 25 meetings, including a 2–1 home victory earlier this campaign.

Genoa, on the other hand, are seeking to extend their resurgence, having won their last two home matches at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.

Under the guidance of head coach Daniele De Rossi, the team has shown renewed fighting spirit after a difficult start to the season.

Napoli enter the fixture third in the Serie A standings with 46 points, while Genoa sit 14th on 23 points, hoping to continue their climb away from the relegation zone.
