Napoli to Host Barcelona in UEFA Round of 16 1st Leg Tonight

Tonight, La Liga giants, Barcelona, will clash against Seria A giants, Napoli, as part of the round of the last 16 in the UEFA Champions League.

The first leg of the highly anticipated game will take place at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. The return leg will take place at the Estadi Olimpic on March 12.

The Spanish are seeking to gain an advantage in their Champions League last 16 tie over the Serie A title holders. 

Both clubs are suffering from complicated seasons as they are facing harsh results, in addition to changing their coaches.

For Napoli, the team changed their coach twice this season as Walter Mazzarri replaced Rudi Garcia in November before his departure on Monday. Slovakia coach Francesco Calzona was named as the new coach.

At Barcelona, Xavi Hernández announced last month that he will leave the Camp Nou at the end of the season.

Both teams collided against each other in last year's UEFA knockout, the 2019/20 Champions League round of 16, and in the 2021/22 Europa League knockouts.
