Namibian coach Ricardo Mannetti stressed that it took his team a long trip to arrive in Egypt, adding that Group D is the squad of death.

"My team possessed the least luck in Group D. Most of them play in the African league and I am proud of their performance," Mannetti said in a press conference, noting that he was unfortunate for not being able to snatch a draw from Morocco, after a friendly goal was scored in the last minute.

Namibia’s player Itamunua Keimuine scored a friendly goal to present the Atlas Lions with their first three points in the African Cup of Nations.

He stressed that his team needs key elements of experience to maintain good form during the next game.

Meantime, Morocco secured their first AFCON victory against Namibia in Group D opener.
