Nahda Univ. Ranked First at Ebdaa Festival Short Films Competition

The jury of the eighth session of the Ebdaa Festival announced that "Miftah 10 Film" for students of the Faculty of Media and Public Relations at Nahda University won first place in the short film competition.

Dr. Hossam Al-Mallahi, President of Nahda University, congratulated the students of the Faculty of Information, who won first place.

He decided to hold a special ceremony to honor the winning students and their supervisors from the faculty and the assisting staff, to encourage students, and appreciate their professors.

The university always encourages and appreciates outstanding students from their students in all scientific disciplines, including the fields of human medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, computers, engineering, business administration, and media.

Dr. Adel Abdel Ghaffar, Dean of the Faculty of Information, stated that the "Miftah 10 Film" winner of the first place in the creativity competition for the year 2020 discusses the issue of child labor from a new perspective.

“It addresses the suffering of children, their dreams and their wishes in a way that attracts attention, and the film shows the suffering of a child while working in a car workshop to surprise him, the child sees life differently, as students relied on fantasia to present and address the issue,” Abdel Ghaffar added.

The film was supervised by Dr. Maha Mohamed Fathi, head of the radio and television department, Wahba Magdy El-Metwally, the assistant teacher in the department, and the assistant Ahmed Sayed Abdel Hadi.

It was starred by the following students: Abdullah Khaled Mohamed, Basma Eissa Abdullah, Ahmed Ahmed Shaaban Al-Safti, Mayar Ahmed Mustafa, Hadeer Ihab Ahmed, Mirna Abdel Nasser, Mohamed Zuhair.

It is worth noting that the short film also won first place in the annual graduation projects festival organized by the Faculty of Information at Nahda University on March 3, in the presence of a group of experts and specialists in the field of art and media.
