The Muslim Council of Elders, in collaboration with the COP28 Presidency, the United Nations Environment Programme, and the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence in the United Arab Emirates organized the Global Faith Leaders Summit.
The summit was attended by a large number of religious leaders and representatives from around the world, as well as international environmental experts and academics.
Participants of the Global Faith Leaders Summit issued a joint global call to confront climate change, urging the leaders participating in COP28 to take on their responsibilities and work together to save planet Earth.
They also commended the Faith Pavilion organized by the Muslim Council of Elders during COP28 in cooperation with the COP28 Presidency and the United Nations Environment Programme, which will serve as a platform for dialogue to seek effective solutions for climate change.
