Fenerbahce game's with Lille ended with a late draw for the French to secure a spot in the UEFA Champions League, knocking out the Turkish club.
Lille advanced to the prestigious championship after defeating the Turkish club 3-2 in both legs.
Fenerbahce will now have a chance to qualify for the second-tier Europa League.
Last June, two-time Champions League winner Jose Mourinho is confirmed as the new coach of Turkish club Fenerbahce.
The Portuguese coach, who won the Champions League with Porto and Inter Milan, didn't head any teams since he was sacked by AS Roma last January.
