José Mourinho has dismissed reports linking him with a possible return to Real Madrid, insisting that no contact has been made with him regarding the job.
The Portuguese coach, who previously managed Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013, addressed the speculation during a press conference ahead of a match with SL Benfica.
“No one from Real Madrid has spoken to me. I can confirm that,” Mourinho said, directly denying the rumors of negotiations.
He also emphasized his current commitment, adding that he still has one year remaining on his contract with Benfica.
Reports in recent weeks suggested that Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez was open to bringing Mourinho back, despite internal disagreements within the club.
Mourinho remains under contract with Benfica until 2027, although media reports indicate the deal includes a release clause worth around €3 million after the end of the season.
