Texas Mother Shoots Son, Daughter before Committing Suicide

In San Antonio, Texas, a 43-year-old mother, Chelsee Dodd, shot her 10 years old son, Trace, her 16 years daughter old before turning the gun on herself on Thursday.

After a gunfire report, Texas police reached the house which witnessed gunfire shots and found a mother, son, and daughter seriously wounded.

“Officers arrived on scene and found three people suffering from gunshot wounds in what is being investigated as an apparent homicide/suicide,” the police department described.

Moreover, the police said Chelsee Dodd’s 16-year-old daughter was still conscious and breathing at the scene and she was taken to the hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound.

The final report by the police indicated "Chelsee Dodd,43, shot her two children before turning the gun on herself. The woman and her 10-year-old son Trace were pronounced dead at the scene, the television station reported.

“A 16-year old female was found conscious and breathing with a serious, possibly life-threatening gunshot wound and she was transported by ground EMS to University Hospital,” it added.

The police are still investigating the motives behind suicide crime.

Ironically, Dodd posted on Facebook, "May you all find PEACE in the New Year! Merry Christmas from The Dodds!" with a photo of her son and daughter posing with candy canes on Tuesday.

The mother worked as a real estate agent, her LinkedIn states, and was selling homes for Fathom Realty in San Antonio at the time of her death.

She held a bachelor of business administration degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio according to her Facebook account.
