Mostafa Kamel Runs for Musicians’ Syndicate Chairman

Egyptian singer, Mostafa Kamel decided to run for the position of Musicians' Syndicate chairman in its new election.

Kamel is set to arrive Monday afternoon at the Syndicate headquarters to submit his candidacy papers after prominent singer Hany Shaker’s term as chairman had finished.

Hany is also running for a new term as a chairman, marking the Musicians' Syndicate chairman election to be a tough competition given how powerful its candidates are.

It is assumed that a large number of artists will also run during the elections for the position of council membership, including artist Helmi Abdel Baki, and Nadia Mustafa, and others.

The elections will be held on July 30th.
