Mostafa El-Feki, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, donated his entire private library to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
It consists of nearly 10,000 books, dictionaries, encyclopedias, and rare collections, which he has collected over 60 years.
El-Feki noted that the donation also includes collectibles, historical documents, books signed by modern Egyptian history personalities, including manuscripts by Ahmed Orabi and dedications from Mustafa Kamel.
It also contains photographs that date after July 1952, with a particular interest in the Alawiyya dynasty, from its founder Muhammad Ali to Ahmed Fouad.
El-Feki stressed that these books will be available to researchers and scholars after it was received by Dr. Mohamed Suleiman, Head of the Cultural Communication Sector at the BA.
He expressed his happiness for having his library in the place, where he worked for the past five years.
The massive book donation includes books in Arabic, French, and English.
It also features biographies and translations of influential people of human history El-Feki collected through his great diplomatic journey around the world.
