Moscow announced on Thursday a ban on the entry of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and nearly 600 other people into Russian territory.

Canadian Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland was also among 592 names barred from entering Russia, in a largely symbolic move.

The move is part of Russian retaliatory actions against countries that have provided political and military support to Ukraine.

Earlier, the Canadian Foreign Ministry announced, in a statement, that Canada will impose sanctions on 14 inpiduals in the Russian regime, including the two adult daughters of President Vladimir Putin.
