Mohamed Ouahbi, head coach of the Morocco national football team, has announced his squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada from June 11 to July 19.
Morocco will compete in Group C alongside Brazil national football team, Haiti national football team and Scotland national football team.
The squad includes Youssef Belammari, defender of Al Ahly SC, while Mohamed Chibi of Pyramids FC was left out.
The biggest omissions from the squad are Youssef En-Nesyri, Hakim Ziyech, Eliesse Ben Seghir and Ilias Akhomach.
The goalkeeping trio consists of Yassine Bounou, Munir Mohamedi and Reda Tagnaouti.
In defense, Morocco selected Achraf Hakimi, Issa Diop, Noussair Mazraoui, Nayef Aguerd, Redouane Halhal, Youssef Belammari, Chadi Riad, Anass Salah-Eddine and Zakaria El Ouahdi.
The midfield options include Neil El Aynaoui, Azzedine Ounahi, Ismael Saibari, Bilal El Khannouss, Ayoub Bouaddi, Samir Morabit and Sofyan Amrabat.
Up front, Morocco will rely on Brahim Díaz, Abde Ezzalzouli, Chemsdine Talbi, Amine Amyn, Soufiane Rahimi, Yassine Jassim and Ayoub El Kaabi.
